He creates his own soundtrack through a series of mix tapes full of iconic songs, reads a huge stack of classic books, and gets involved in the Rocky Horror Picture Show audience-participation culture.Charlie has a relatively stable home life, though, with supportive, if distant, parents to fall back on. Unfortunately, a disturbing family secret that Charlie has repressed for his entire life surfaces at the end of the school year. Charlie has a severe mental breakdown and ends up hospitalized. Charlie's final letter closes with feelings of hope: getting released from the hospital, finding new friends, and overcoming his fear of high school. I really enjoyed this book and hope that you'll like it too. REMEMBER: Don't watch the movie, until you've read the book! :) Caio!

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower Review (NO SPOILERS!)
Hey peeps! Pretty sure you've heard of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower movie. But did you know there's a book too?! At first, I went to see the movie THEN read the book. DO NOT DO THAT. Read the book first and then watch the movie. Overall I would say that the book will knock your socks off! Fife-teen year old Charlie is coping with the suicide of his best friend Michael. To help cope with his anxiety of high school and fear of not fitting in, he writes letters to a stranger that he's never met in person before. At school, Charlie finds a friend in his English teacher. He also overcomes his chronic shyness and approaches a classmate, Patrick, who, along with his step-sister Sam, become two of Charlie's Bestest Friends. During the course of the school year, Charlie has his first date and his first kiss, he deals with bullies, he experiments with drugs and drinking, and he makes friends, loses them, and gains them back.

The Superbowl XLVII AND English Class.. What?!
Hey hey hey! So I was pretty proud of myself this weekend when I watched the Superbowl. Now, normally I'm not that interested in football or how to play it or why we play it but I was pretty excited to watch this year's Superbowl. I was betting it all on the Seahawks and nobody would believe me! So ha! In your face. The Seahawks won an incredible 43 to 8. Wow, Payton.. That's kind of sad. Seattle wasn't such a great team last year and Denver was! At first, i was just in it for the commercials but then i started to engagingly watch it. My reactions were like "Wow! Good field goal" and "Holy crap did you see that pass?!" I was a totally different person this weekend. I felt like I was in Football Mode instead of Girly Teenager mode. When I was younger, I used to sit up in my dad's lap and watch TV with him all day long. Now don't get me wrong, I love my dad. I would just rather be alone now than sitting in my dad's lap. I think I'm a little big now.
Overall, i would say the game was pretty good. I was really interested in it..and that was sooo unlike me. Rooting for the Seahawks was a smart thing to do, I think. Everyone was saying that the Broncos we're going to slay em'! I was different and said the opposite team. So what does the Superbowl have anything to do with 9th grade English? Well this week we did a mini project on themes and how they are important to a story and how they pertain to everyday life. My group got assigned a theme about self individuality and why it's important to be different. Well I just showed you a prime example of how self individuality is shown in everyday life. I picked the Seahawks when about 3 out of 5 people were going with the Broncos. I expressed my individuality and i was being different! Yay me! So that's all I've got this week. I haven't read that much but i still read a little. Next week will be about my independent reading book, promise! hugs and kisses, bye! (:
