Farenheit 451

  Hi everyone! In our English class, we started a book called Farenheit 451.  So far I like it and I think it's really futuristic and interesting. The book is about a fireman who burns books. You can tell that it's futuristic because now, firemen put out fires instead of starting them. On the way home, Montag (the fireman) meets a girl named Clarisse who's seventeen and who I believe might read. See, reading is illegal in the book.

The government prevents any uprisings or people thinking by burning the books (censorship).The setting of the book is in the future, I would probably say around 2075 and I know it's in the modern US. " The jet bombers going over, going over, going over, one two, one two, one two, six of them, nine of them, twelve of them.." This line is showing that it's sort of in the future because we don't really have jet bombers now. I have some predictions about the book and what I think is going to happen:

• Clarisse will make Montag think about why he burns the books and he might revolt.
• We will find out that Clarisse reads and she will get caught
• Mildred will try to commit suicide again and she might actually die this time.

I also have a few questions about what will happen:

- Will Montag revolt?
- Does Clarisse read and will the government find out?
